J&K SS Ltd Modern Slavery Statement
Our commitment to the principles of the Modern Slavery Act 2015
J&K SS is committed to conducting business responsibly and ethically in line with the principles outlined in the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and the abolition of modern slavery and human trafficking.
As an equal opportunities employer, we are committed to creating and ensuring a non-discriminatory and respectful working environment for our staff. We want all our staff to feel confident that they can expose wrongdoing without any risk to themselves.
We do not enter into business with any organisation which knowingly supports or is found to be involved in slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour.
Our supply chain
While the nature of our operations presents a low risk in this area, we take our responsibility seriously and expect the same commitment from our suppliers and partners.
Our supply chains are limited and we procure goods and services from a restricted range of UK suppliers. We will continue to review our practices and relationships to ensure alignment with these principles.
Embedding the principles
We maintain policies to ensure ethical business practices, including:
- Code of Conduct: All employees and suppliers must adhere to ethical labor practices.
- Whistleblowing Policy: Employees can report concerns safely and anonymously.
- Supplier Agreements: Suppliers are required to comply with modern slavery standards.
We conduct due diligence to identify and mitigate the risk of modern slavery, including:
- Supplier risk assessments and audits
- Contractual requirements for labor standards
- Employee training on modern slavery awareness
This statement has been approved by John Armstrong, J&K SS Director, for the financial year ending 31 March 2026.
This statement will be reviewed and updated every year.
