The Challenge
JKSS LTD was approached by a pet food manufacturer based in the West Country to address a significant operational problem. Their existing washing system was outdated and inefficient, creating unsafe, slippery floors and hindering workflow. A hygienic, and practical solution was urgently needed to improve safety and streamline cleaning processes.
Our Solution
We designed and manufactured bespoke stainless steel washing units tailored to the client’s needs:
Dirty’s Tables:
- Constructed from 304-grade stainless steel
- Anti-splash top with rear upstand
- Cross-creased to a central draining point, allowing waste water and runny product to drain via an underside plumbing arrangement
- Dimensions: 1200 x 600 x 890 mm, with adjustable feet
- Solid undershelf for additional storage
Belfast Sink:
- Made from 304-grade stainless steel, 2 mm thick
- Dimensions: 1000 x 600 x 500 mm deep
- Rear upstand, removable filter unit, and overflow waste
- Ideal for heavier production equipment
- Durable, strong construction with adjustable feet
- All welds dressed and polished for a high-quality finish
- Includes a deck-mounted spray arm for thorough cleaning
Both units were designed to improve hygiene, and efficiency in the washing area, ensuring easy collection and drainage of clean and dirty equipment.
The Outcome
The new washing system resolved the client’s safety concerns and operational inefficiencies. Floors were no longer slippery, cleaning processes were streamlined, and the durable stainless steel construction ensured a long-lasting, high-quality solution.
