The Challenge
A client required a robust safety solution to improve workplace safety around a band saw area. The key issue was preventing accidents caused by trolleys and other mobile equipment entering the workspace, while still allowing the operator to work efficiently in a clear and secure environment.
Our Solution
JKSS LTD designed and manufactured a stainless steel safety barrier system, specifically built to safeguard the band saw area. Key features included:
- Constructed entirely from 304-grade stainless steel box section
- Each section fitted with two tie bars on the diamond for easier cleaning
- Heavy-duty fixing plates attached to the main legs for stability
- A one-way gate system to restrict unauthorised access and enhance safety
Beyond this project, JKSS LTD also offers a wide range of stainless steel safety barriers, including bollards, access barriers and bespoke protective systems to suit any environment.
The Outcome
The barrier system created a significantly safer workspace by preventing accidental ingress of trolleys and mobile equipment. The band saw operative now benefits from a clear, secure area designed to minimise risk while maintaining efficiency.
